PDDM Irlanda-USA: From the 27th to the 31st of January 2023, continuing the journey of redesigning, the new leadership team of the Delegation of Ireland-United States gathered in Rome for a time of formation and to receive their mandate for service.
Sr. M. Kathryn Williams, continues her service as Delegate Superior, assisted by Sr. M. Josephine Fallon (Councillor-United States), Sr. M. Emmanuel Kwak (Councillor and Bursar-United States), Sr. M. Brid Geraghty (Councillor and Bursar-Ireland) and Sr. M. Louise O’ Rourke (Secretary). The Sisters were fraternally led in this time of prayer, formation and discernment by Sr. M. Lidia Awoki, Vicar General.
It was a blessing to begin this time by praying at the tomb of Blessed James Alberione and visiting the newly restructured museum. Over the days, reconnecting with our different brothers and sisters in the Congregation and in the Pauline Family, young and old, was the opportunity to experience the beauty of being Family and the reminder of the vastness of our mission in the world. On the 31st of January, the prayer of mandate took place in the PDDM Chapel of the General House, surrounded by our Sisters from different countries and in communion with the Sisters in the communities in Ireland and United States. As we go forward, towards the horizons of our 10th General Chapter and our jubilee of Foundation, we pray that we can truly be women of the Gospel, ready to bring the message of hope to all whom we meet!
