Even in grade six, the glowing light from the sanctuary lamp had
always indicated to me of His presence in the tabernacle. Thus, I
could say that even then, He had already drawn me to Him and that
our Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration was the one deciding factor
why I joined the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master. Yes, to
represent the modern men and women before His presence in the
Eucharist and to make Him be present in their lives! In the
anonymity and simplicity of the things I do I reach out to peoples
of today, in all walks of life that they may come to know Him and
live in his love. The Eucharist in all its hidden richness is my
mission and it is that which gives me life.
No one could have been happier than I, as when Mother General
called me to come to Justin Villa, to serve the priests in their
advanced years. Through them whose words and actions, the
sacrificial love of Jesus on the cross is offered again and again
in the Eucharist, I assist to animate their liturgy. Our Founder
said, ‘Sister Disciple, your life is fulfilled, if with your
ministry, you could make a priest celebrate one Mass more’.
To all who might seek advice, I would say as I point to the
Eucharist – if you only know how much love dwells therein, you
need not fear anything. He makes all things work together for the
good of those whom He loves, and you are loved.
